The biggest news report that took over the air waves all over the world, was the Concordia cruise ship that sunk abruptly off the coast of Tuscany last week. What puzzles people the most was how the captain wasn't seen during the brief, and unnoticed evacuations, and had saved himself by being the first one to evacuate. While the Captain's sketchy actions are still under investigations, it was just announced on Monday, January 23rd, that the team trying to clean up the mess the ship has left right now, may cause 500,000 gallons of fuel to leak into the Tuscan waters. The costs of this operation to clean up the remains of the ship, pre-oil leak is already costing between 85-95 million. Having this oil leak, would destroy so much wildlife, it would take years to restore the waters. This only adds to the search for the remaning passengers bodies that have yet to be found, which is really making this whole situation even messier.
